Motorcycle Sidecars
Inventedd in France in 1893 by Mr. Jean Bertoux, a French Army Officer. They were origanilly designed for a newspaper competitionn to find the best way of carring a passenger on a bicycle.
In twenty century a patente for the motorcycle sidecar was submitted by Mr. WJ Graham of Enfield in Middlesex, and the sidecar quickly exploded in popularity, being cheaper than a car.
Tankfully for passengers, makers soon realised that a solid shell made for a more pleasant ride and sidecarss quickly became a fashion case between the early decades of the twenty century.
Sidecars in film and TV, the dominant portrayal and their users tend to fluctuate between daredevil individuals seeking a way out of mainstream society or feral barbarians itching to destroy.
However the sucess of the firsts decades of the twenty century, after 1920 the popularity of the motorcycle declined due to the introduction of affordable cars. Despite of that, sidecars remained cheaper alternative to cars and maintained some popularity through to the 1950.
Sidecars in wartime, during the Great War, the British Army was using sidecars to their full advantage, as the mobility of the Vickers machine guns could be improved.
In the World War II , Germain Soldiers used in other to aid in their all-terrain abilities. After the second World War the industry of sidecars suffers a steady decline. However, that isn't the end of the sidecar within the consumer market, as television shows and filnms from the 1950s featured them, making sidecars once again a recognisable relicc of the early twenty century. Instead of that, now there are many Motorcycles Sidecars, the classic, ans many new brands.
Sidecars are not only for pleasure, there motorcycle sidecar racing involves a motorcycle rider and a passenger on a custom-built mottorbike chassis creating a three-wheel vehicle. sidecar racing can be done on a dirt or road surface circuit.
